Brief Biography

Dr. Abbas is an Associate Professor of Sociology in the Department of Crime Science at the College of Criminology at NAUSS. Graduating with honors from the University of Khartoum with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Social Anthropology in 1995, she brings over 27 years of diverse academic experience to her role.

Scientific and Professional Experience:

• Head of the Department of Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation, and Advisor to the University Vice-Presidency for Academic Affairs.

• Former Consultant at the University Vice-Presidency for Scientific Research and former Supervisor in the Women's Department.

• Holds a Master's degree in Sociology from the University of Khartoum (2002).

• Holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from Al Neelain University (2008).

• Published numerous research papers in indexed peer-reviewed scientific journals in both Arabic and English, covering areas such as crime science, crime prevention, social development, and family studies.

• Presented several scientific papers at local, regional, and international conferences.

• Active member of several scientific societies, serving as a contributing editor and reviewer for various scientific journals within and outside the Arab world.
